Meet the Founder!

Sheila K Dameron-Dixon is the founder of WBIS-Women Building & Investing in Success, a women’s business and personal development organization located in Northern Virginia. WBIS helps small business owners powerfully address challenges of growing a successful business while helping to build relationships for financial gain. Sheila has developed WBIS through her passion to help women collaborate, cultivate and celebrate their success through monthly educational and social events.

Sheila works from home in between raising rambunctious boys. Sheila graduated from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania with a degree in business and minor in psychology. WBIS continues to flourish developing into a community where women business owners are working together to build success for one another. Sheila has a knack for helping propel others in their businesses and enjoys seeing others excel at their goals. Her organization offers women an opportunity to build their business through strategic partnership programs. She’s the author of a marketing tips book, an educational guide for the entrepreneur.

Sheila serves the community within local Chambers of Commerce, served as a coach for Girls On the Run, Mentor for the George Washington University Entrepreneurial Leadership Program,  Mentor for other thriving nonprofit organizations, associations and members of the WBIS. You may catch her speaking to youth organizations or rolling up her sleeves at some capacity to be a community advocate for social change.

Sheila is very passionate about the success of our next generation of business owners while developing a platform where they can freely express themselves and thrive in a changing environment. Sheila and family attend a community church. When she is not on the soccer or lacrosse field Sheila enjoys tennis, gardening, reading and fundraising for non-profit groups that empower women and children to BE and DO their best.
