About Our Speaker

Born and raised in Queens, New York, Erika Larkin-PGA, Larkin Golf has pursued her passion for golf since the age of 8.  As a junior, she competed on local and national levels, and was granted a scholarship to play Division I golf at James Madison University (’02).  She graduated with a BBA in Marketing and worked for American Golf Corporation as a Membership and Marketing Director for three courses in Northern Virginia.  After teaching golf classes on the side to help out a friend, she realized her new love and started on her journey to becoming a Golf Professional.

Erika has been teaching golf ever since and in 2006, she became a Class A PGA Member.  In 2007 she became one of only 12 female PGA Certified Instructors in the country.  Shortly thereafter, she established Larkin Golf LLC and created a website, www.larkingolf.com to highlight her simple and fun teaching philosophies.

Erika currently teaches golf at three facilities in Northern Virginia (Virginia Oaks Golf Club in Gainesville, 1757 Golf Club in Dulles, and International Country Club in Fairfax) and hosts golf clinics and speaking engagements for groups across the East Coast.  In addition, 2009 will be her first season as Coach of the Westfield High School Girls Golf Team.  Go Bulldogs!  Through all of these endeavors, her goal is to inspire as many people as she can to enjoy this game for a lifetime.

She resides in Gainesville, VA, with husband Mike, and is enjoying her newest little golfer- her son Mikey.
